The Beginning to my NEW blog- a recipe to start
Ok, I have decided I want to be a /crafting/organizing/loophole finding blogger. Any great recipes I find that make my life easier or any loophole I find that can help you save some money or any organizing something or other that really is easy to keep up, Ill post it. Currently I am working on making potpies to freeze since when I am in the cooking mood, I better keep at it or we wont eat for the rest of the week.
In fact, Ill go ahead and post that recipe here (we've been using it for a couple of years and we haven't had any complaints at the Mitchell house yet!) Here is the final product:
So here is the recipe:
Yields two personal sized pot pies (we double it- Lilly and Molly LOVE these)
Ingredients:
-pack of 2 pie crust (any frozen pie crust you find will work, I usually use the one that comes in the large pie tins and then transfer them into my personal sized tins)
-canned mixed veggies (I like the kind that has potato in it)
-cream of chicken soup
THATS IT!
Ok now for the actual cooking...
-Pull your pie crust out while your mixing the other ingredients so it's not so frozen
-In a bowl, mix the veggies (drained) and cream of chicken
-canned chicken (drained)
-Next, pull the pot pie out of the pie tins that you bought (You can just make the pot pie in the big sized, but its hard to cut- it doesn't hold up like a real pie does, so we make the personal sized)
-Roll out the pie crust and fit it into your mini pie tins then cut off the extra.
-Now put some of your mix into the shell of your pot pie. Fill it up!
-Now roll out some more crust and cover your pot pie.
-Take a fork and press it all around the pot pie
-In the oven it goes at 350 until the top it GOLDEN brown :)

VIOLA!
Lilly literally just ate a pot pie a little while ago- great way to make your kids eat veggies (and the vegetables are canned so they are pretty mushy anyway so its good to give to little ones)!!
Any extra pie crust?! Flatten in, put cinnamon and sugar on it and bake it for about 10 minutes for a desert after! (I dont ever have any cause I eat it raw!! YUM!)
Not sure what my next topic will be, but Im sure you will enjoy it!!!
